Googly eyes candle for Halloween

Googly eyes candle for Halloween

Love, love Halloween.

Happy October 1st! As far as I'm concerned, October is an entire month of Halloween, so today is like a holiday. This year we will be out of town during the actual day, so sorry, trick-or-treaters, but our porch will be dim. Please don't smash my pumpkins, I'm begging you.

But that doesn’t mean I'm not decorating!

Check out this simple, scary craft. It took little time and I actually found everything I needed at the local dollar store! So, totally inexpensive.

Time commitment: 10 minutes, maybe

Supplies:

  • Googly eyes
  • Candle holder, I used a square one so the eyes would lay flat
  • Dark colored rocks, I bought bags of decorating rocks and picked out the dark ones
  • Candle
  • Glue gun or tape

Assembly seems pretty apparent. You just throw everything in the votive and add some eyes. I loved the square votives so much that I decided to tape the eyes on rather than glue so I can use them all year round. I’m not sure yet how the tape is going to like the candle heat, but I'll cross that bridge if I come to it. I also found a large flat rock to put in the very bottom that positions the candle a little higher.

Super cute, surprisingly cheap, and Halloween all the way.

The rocks are so pretty.

The rocks are so pretty.
